SharedVoice.org was launched on September 17, 2001 in reaction to the tragic events of September and their anticipated aftermath.
The site was launched with a weekend's worth of work from a handful of passionate people, and the sending of around 150 emails. To date, that's been the extent of the 'marketing' for SharedVoice. The fact that over 3300 people have so far signed is a testament to the power of the internet to connect people and share ideas.
The headlines speak of the mourning, loss, and outrage we all feel. Indeed, the nation's media has indicated a nearly overwhelming mandate for going to "war". What is missing from the landscape of images and words is an expression of agreement among people who feel that as leaders in the world, the United States ought to uphold the values we so strongly affirm - freedom and justice.
Please join our chorus of shared voices. Let the world know that you are not alone. If you have not yet added your name to sharedvoice.org, we invite you to do so. Please Tell your friends about sharedvoice.org.
