Swing State Difference Making <<
A sampling of emails I get daily:
Michigan
I am sure that you receive hundreds of emails about this song. I was sent the link to your song by my Aunt Kat from Lee's Summit, MO. I'm from Rochester Hills, MI and have been spreading the link to everyone I can in the Detroit area. This message is so moving, and I have to share it. I've never been very involved with any of this, and in fact am ashamed of what little I know. I wanted you to know the motivation I felt after listening. I've only recently started volunteering, and thought its through my church, and on such a small level, I have to think I'm at least starting to do my part. I completely support this, and hope to hear more from you. I would be honored to purchase a CD of yours when it goes into production. Please, please, keep me informed. Thank you for opening my eyes. Elizabeth Giles, Rochester Hills, MI
Colorado
Most of my family are Bush supporters, so this during our Family reunion (52 people in all), shortly before the election I plan on sparking some healthy political discourse within the family. This would be a great way to spark that debate. Carbondale, Colorado
New Hampshire
I wish so much success in all that you do. Your song will haunt me. It will remind me for the coming days to not take the night off, not skip that last trip to New Hampshire, not put off writing that zillionth op-ed, because there is so much at stake. And so much hope if we can move forward with a chance on November 2. Thank you.
Arizona
On 10/24/04 our education majors will meet to discuss the two parties view on education. At the majority of our students already know who they will be voting for but their are still about 20 that our undicided. I thought this video will help them get their bearings. Phoenix, Arizona
North Carolina
I teach a Middle School Sunday School class at a Presbyterian Church in Asheville, NC. Our focus this year is what it truly means to be a "child of God"...and our relationship to all children of God. Also, my husband is a public school teacher and would like to use it with his students. Thank you so much for a beautiful piece of art. Asheville, North Carolina
Florida
I want to make it available to my 50 "Society--Conflict and Change" course students at University of South Florida. I also e-mailed the link to 25 of my friends and asked John Stewart to put Ian on The Daily Show.
Texas (not exactly a 'swing state', but I love that Texans are down with it)
I am a Texan who does not believe war with iraq is in any way beneficial to the people of this country. I would be showing this presentation to my friends in college and my family, I thought it was profoundly moving, and I think many others will share that sentiment. Beaumont, Texas.
